If you are looking for that picturesque white sand beach with the perfect amount of palm trees and 'aloha', look no further than Baldwin Beach. Located on the North Shore of Maui on your way to Hana, just a quarter of a mile from Paia, this beach is simply beautiful. The center of the beach can have a large shore break (especially in the winter months) that can be a lot of fun for experienced boogie boarders. Both ends of the beach are more protected from the surf that make it a more ideal spot for little ones. Baldwin Beach is a great place to spend an afternoon with the whole family soaking up the sun.
The beach area is fully equipped with a lifeguard station, bathrooms, showers, BBQ's, picnic tables and a covered pavilion. This is also as long a beach as you will find on the north shore which makes for a great beach stroll or challenging run in the soft sand. If you find yourself in the area earlier in the day, morning walks on this beach are breathtaking and serine as you will have the place almost all to yourself as the beaches in Paia tend to fill up around lunch time.
Once you are done at the beach for the day head a little further up the road to Paia Town for some good eats, shopping, and a relaxed vibe. Our favorite spots to eat in Paia are Flatbread, Paia Fish Market, and Hana Ranch Provisions. The town is also a popular hang-out for spotting celebrities who live in the area and surfers who like to come back for Happy Hour after a day in the waves.
